LeadPages Webinar Replay + My PDF Notes

So I took a whole bunch of handwritten notes during the webinar we ran at the end of last week with guest presenter Clay Collins of LeadPages. They might not be as brilliant as previous notes I’ve sent out, but I was answering the 104+ questions we had in the chat box during the presentation at the same time. Insanity! Here are my notes in a 3-page PDF. (Hope you can read my handwriting.) “Seeing how all your landing pages can work together as a sales machine was illuminating! Everyone should see this!” – Marcos D. “This is definitely the

What Makes a Superhero in Marketing?

I was asked to write a foreword to a book recently, and today’s blog post is adapted from that, and applied to something happening over the next two weeks I’m involved in. Su-per-he-ro (soo’per hIr’o) n., pl. roes. A heroic character with a selfless, pro-social mission; with superpowers — extraordinary abilities, advanced technology, or highly developed physical, mental, or mystical skills… Superman might have been faster than a speeding bullet and more powerful than a locomotive… But Batman, he was a real-world superhero! With his utility belt full of advanced technology and his highly developed physical and mental skills,

What Really Happens When the Gurus Get Together…

Ever wonder what actually goes on when the leading internet marketers catch up, plan the evil schemes and get upto shenanigans ? Well a few years ago, everyone got together to try and beat the ‘Google Slap’ – This is an very exact, accurate and unequivocal rendering of the conversations that where occurring during that meeting. Click To EnlargeActually, I just came across this cartoon on my backup drive – I had it created a few years ago for a launch that never eventuated… Anyway, I thought I would dust it off and throw it up here. For those that

When Was The Last Time You Did Something For The First Time – JCI Australia Presentation

Here is a 43 minute audio of the presentation I did last night for JCI Australia’s national training weekend – it was loosely on the topic of ‘When Was The Last Time You Did Something For The First Time’. I go off in a few different tangents, telling stories that have nothing to do with the topic, yet have everything to do with the topic – covering things like: How to Cook A Roast For Christmas How To Win 25 Words or Less Contests What Violins Have To Do With Anything The Biggest Hurdle To Picking Up Women A Rendition of

When Is Poverty NOT Poverty ?

When you think of poverty what do you think about ?

African children struggling for food…

The homeless on your city streets…

Dirty water in a third world country….

According to Wikipedia: “Poverty is deprivation of common necessities that determine the quality of life, including food, clothing, shelter and safe drinking water, and may also include the deprivation of opportunities to learn, to obtain better employment to escape poverty, and/or to enjoy the respect of fellow citizens

One key element from this definition that I would almost guarantee that most of you would have not considered is “the deprivation of opportunities to learn, to obtain better employment to escape poverty”

Is depression a form of poverty ?

Is a limited education a form of poverty ?

Is reduced human interaction a form of poverty ?

Absolutely, and it’s this form of poverty that is generally over-looked.
