I listened to this episode first thing in the morning and it has set me up for the day. It came at the perfect time. Like many others, i have been constantly hearing about all the systems, processes and tools that make life easier and will of course “magically” improve performance and profit. It was getting very easy to be distracted by the bright shiny new thing. Good foundations and fundamentals make it much easier and of stronger to build on. The concept of talk to people on a 1:1 basis until you can no longer cope with doing that and then put a system in place to help hit me like a lightning bolt. My podcast and business is all about getting to know the people behind the numbers and to create connections that count. I love talking to people, I am pretty good at it and that is where the real “magic’ happens, so why would I want to put layer upon layer of automation between me and those connections before it is necessary. The example of sending a 45 minute sales video to your target market of time poor business people was genius as well. Brilliant episode and good to hear the rants again! Thanks guys.

I love hearing you two point out the obvious contradictions in people’s systems. My only complaint … we didn’t get a ‘what you want for Christmas’ or ‘best books of the year’ episode. Enjoy your holiday break from podcasting.
